This Easy Lasagna Recipe

....will have them beggin' for more

now you know . . . . the onion is named after the latin word 'unio' meaning large pearl!

Easy Lasagna

This easy lasagna recipe is a good one to prepare the night before if you know you will be busy. Then all you have to do is throw it in the oven. (or have the kids do it)

This is what you will need:

  • 2# hamburger
  • 1 onion - chopped (optional)
  • 2# box lasagna noodles
  • 2-1lb10oz jars of your favorite spaghetti sauce (Ragu or other)
  • 2# shredded mozzerella cheese
  • 1 16oz container cottage cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Brown hamburger and onion.

Add spaghetti sauce.

Now the fun begins:

Pour a couple ladles of sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 baking pan. Spread evenly. Use just enough to keep the noodles from sticking to the bottom.

Lay down a layer of UNCOOKED noodles to fill the bottom of the pan. Break to fit if needed.

Spread half the cottage cheese on top of noodles.

Sprinkle half the mozzerella cheese on top of cottage cheese.

Pour enough sauce to cover completely.

Repeat: noodles, cottage cheese, mozzerella cheese, ending with sauce. (Make sure the top is smothered with sauce)

Sprinkle with grated parmesian if desired.

Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees uncovered.

Remove from oven. Let sit 20 to 30 minutes before cutting. It needs to set up.
