Fun Fun Games Will Liven Up The Party!
...like a Scavenger Hunt
What's a party without fun fun games? BORING, that's what!
Scavenger Hunts have been
fun party games
for many, many years. For good reason. Their is no reason why these can't be used for any occasion you can dream up. Something even the very young can participate in, only in a smaller way.
Teenagers enjoy scavenger hunts too. In fact, this can be one of the most fun games if you make your list of items interesting and fun for the age group participating. I still remember doing this at a Halloween party when I was a teen. A long time ago!! FUN was had by all.
Keep in mind that scavenger hunts can be done anywhere. You can allow your guests to travel the town or area by car, motorcycle, snowmobile, four wheelers, or just by foot. This can be as big or as small as you want to make it. You can understand why this is included in my list of fun fun games.
The Rules
The rules are simple.
All participants are given a list of objects they are supposed to find in a specific amount of time. (Everyone gets the same list.) The first person or team back with everything or the most things on the list wins.
You can make this as easy or difficult as you like. You can make it last an hour or 3 hours. It all depends on your rules.
Make sure to give your participants a bag to collect everything. Also, baggies, if you are asking for beach sand, etc.
Questions to ask yourself when planning a scavenger hunt.
- What age group (or difficulty level) am I planning for?
- How much time should I allow? One hour, 3 hours, 6 hours?
- Where will the participants be allowed to go to find the item? Will they find them in the house? Around the neighborhood, or around the entire town? Or do they have to go to another town or neighborhood to find another part of the list? It all depends on the difficulty level you want to provide.
- Will the items be easy to find, or difficult to find?
- Will the participants be going on foot, car, motorcycle, etc?
Examples Of Lists
Use this sample for participants of all ages. I would allow them to go around the neighborhood. (Not allowed to get anything from your house or their own home.) The time to allow depends on how long your list is. This is an example of what could be on the list.
