How To Make Money Flowers
.......that are BEAUTIFUL

Learning how to make money flowers is a family fun project that is easier than you may
think.
Do you have a special occasion coming up? Don't know what
to give the guest of honor? Money is always a good idea,
but it also comes across like you didn't put any thought
into the gift. BORING! It doesn't have to be that way.
What if you can present that gift of money in a beautiful
bouquet, or a single long stem rose? YOU CAN AND IM GOING
TO TEACH YOU HOW.
Lets get started.
Here is what you need:
- 3 or 5 one dollar bills per flower (you can use bigger
bills if you like)
- 18 or 20 guage wire
- wire cutters
- hot glue or tape (optional)
- florist tape
- artificial leaves
- rose or flower scented oil or spray (optional)
- babys breath (optional)

With George facing down, fold bill in half lengthwise.
Open. (the crease will be a guide and also help form the cupped petal shape)

Roll each corner, tightly, to the center fold on the face
side of the bill.

The ends of each rolled corner should
be touching in the center at the crease.

Holding dollar bill, pinch the center together, scrunching
it.

With a piece of wire that has been folded in half, wrap
around the center of bill and secure with a couple twists.

Shape the petals by pushing on the crease with your thumb, giving them a cup-like shape.

Repeat this process with all dollar bills.
This next step in how to make money flowers is important.
Form the flower by starting with a single bud. This will be the center.

Only one side, fold the sides into the center and make a crease with each fold.

Wrap the other side around the folded side. (I like to secure this with a dot of hot glue or tape.)

Add another bud, back to back, around the first, making sure to cover the open ends of the first.

Repeat with another bud, making sure to cover the open ends each time. You can do this with either three or five buds, depending on the size flower you want.
Twist the wires together to secure each one, and also form the stem.

Starting at the base of the flower, wrap florist tape
down the stem, adding a leaf here and there. I like to
add a leaf almost immediately at the base of the flower.
Note: If the wire is too thin, you can add a wood skewer
or dowel to strengthen the stem, if needed. Just
wrap the florist tape around the wire and dowel.

Now that you know how to make money flowers, your friends and family
will be asking you to make money flowers for them. They look great
in a vase filled with babys breath also. Add some flower
scented oil and you have an awesome gift and a great family fun project.
