Break The Ice With A Frozen T-Shirt Contest

now you know . . . . . thomas edison, the man who invented the lightbulb, was afraid of dark!

A frozen t-shirt contest is a game that can be played at any kind of party. The participants are actually the entertainment.

The object: To be the first person to thaw out the t-shirt and wear it.

You can handle this a couple of ways.

  • The frozen t-shirts can be the prize for all participants. Then award a special prize to the first one wearing it.

  • Use t-shirts you have around the house. Don't give them away. Just use them for the game and give one t-shirt away to the winner.

  • If you have reunion tshirts printed, but can't afford very many, this is a fun way for participants to earn one.

Choose t-shirts that are all the same size. Preferably extra-large. Soak them in water. Saturate them.

Now, fold them all. Or crunch them in a ball. whatever you choose to do, make sure they are all the same.

Place in one gallon plastic zip locs.

Freeze. Give yourself a couple days freezing time. We want them rock solid.

Keep frozen until ready to play.

Ask for volunteers. You need as many volunteers as you have t-shirts. Don't tell them why. Its always fun to see who the gutsy ones are.

Once you have your volunteer up front, pass out the frozen t-shirts. Explain to them, that the first one to come back wearing their shirt, wins.

Their are some rules, however.

They cannot put it in the sink under running water.

They cannot put it in the microwave.

Whatever rules you want.

I laughed so hard, I almost peed my pants. When I hosted a frozen t-shirt contest, a group of girls came running to me, and told me to go into the bathroom. So I did. There, I found a t-shirt soaking in the toilet tank. Perfectly legal. They can sit on it, have someone else sit on it, or whatever they can dream up to thaw it out, as long as it is within your rules.

HAVE FUN, I KNOW YOU WILL
